Due to popular demand, we're bringing back our Kid's Activities this summer. Toni has set up a super selection of classes for a variety of ages and interests.
For all classes, prepayment is required to hold your spot, and parents must remain with their children.
June 7- Alaska’s Wildest Magic by Don Russell
Learning how to present magic tricks is key for the best magicians.

June14 – Enchanted Garden Stones by Creativity for Kids
Make and design your own garden stone! Place your garden stone in your special garden spot, use as stepping stones or give as a gift to your favorite gardener.

June 21 – Live Bird Program by Bird TLC
10:00 – 11:00 Songbirds: Why do birds sing and what do they have to sing about? Jo and her 3 songbirds will tell you all about it - plus hand on activities.
11:00 – 12:00 Ravens: Alaska’s trickster in mythology and history. They seem to be always cawing about something they’ve done. Come meet Crawford the Raven and learn more about our abundant chatterboxes.
$10 per child age 5+
June 28 – Zumba by Missy LaFleiche
The newest and fun way to exercise. Join the Fitness Party! Zumba builds body, coordination, and self-esteem. “No dance experience needed…we’ll shimmy, wiggle, shake like an earthquake—you name it!” In this class songs will get children moving (dancing) and as a result they’ll burn calories while having FUN!
The class duration is 20—30 minutes. Please wear loose fitting clothing and sneakers or dance shoes that are comfortable.
$5.00 per child 10 to 12 kids at a time.

July 5 – Beginner Music Lesson with Brianna Dowdy
What is a note? What’s the difference between high and loud, or low and soft? Learn about melodies, harmonies, how to match notes with kazoos and how to sing rounds!
$5.00 per child 10 to 12 kids at a time.

July 12 – Fly Away! Learn about with White Wings Planes and Ron Dukes
World reknowned White Wings were created by Dr. Ninomiya, Japan’s foremost authority of paper airplanes. Expert Ron Dukes will be on hand to teach physics of flight (lift, thrust, gravity and drag) as you build a plane. You’ll also receive a White Wings kit to take home.
$5.00 age 8+.

July 19 – Modern Masterpiece Painting by Creativity for Kids
Take home your own masterpiece painting. Creativity for Kids teaches basic art knowledge so you can paint like Piccaso, cavort like Kandinsky, wow’em like Warhol or go Geometric, then learn your own style.

July 26 – Black and Blue Oceans by Mad Science of CA Alaska
Mad Science’s mission is to spark the imagination and curiosity of children everywhere.
Alaska’s Mad Scientist ‘Jupiter’ will be on hand teaching about our oceans, the environment and oil clean-up. Your scientist will also make a lava lamp!
$10.00 per child age 6+
10:00 – 11:30 will have a take home project.
